Meet the Therapists

Brighter Days Therapy was born out of frustration - our founder was sick of low quality mental health care! Not only are our clinicians experienced and highly competent - they also act like humans! We believe what the research says - connecting with your therapist is required for therapy to be effective!  We are not going to just smile and nod at you. We genuinely want to roll up our sleeves and get into the work!

If you’ve had a tough experience in therapy before, know that we have the space and the capacity to serve our clients well. We often hear our clients say this is the experience they were searching for!

Brighter Days Therapy operates under three core values - curiosity, autonomy, and connection. When working with us, you will always be paired with a masters-level therapist with specialized trauma training. We empower clients to tackle healing in order to live their most fulfilled lives.

Carley Trillow

LISW, Founder of Brighter Days Therapy

Carley Trillow is a masters-level therapist trained in EMDR therapy - specializing in people pleasing. She defines people-pleasing as trauma induced self abandonment. People pleasers learned early that it was easier to appease others than it was to risk upsetting others or causing conflict. People pleasers tend to experience anxiety, anticipate others' needs, ensure everyone is “in a good mood”, and never feel good enough.

She brings her clients into the science of trauma and healing in a full partnership.  Clients describe her as comforting, nurturing, casual, and “an angel” to talk to while still being authentic. Carley describes her work as “not too buttoned up” and “annoyingly curious”.

She states “I am going to show up as myself and I want my clients to do the same. No one wants to show up with someone nodding along and holding a clipboard. We need to just be humans connecting at the core of it.”

Hannah Pais

LISW

Hannah, a masters-level EMDR-trained therapist, specializes in addressing anxiety disorders, perfectionism, post-traumatic stress disorder, and depression. Hannah relates to the constant inner critic and wants to help you find relief in the high standards you hold for yourself. Achievement can become a distraction and a source of coping for those who have a hard time sitting with their own emotions.

Hannah encourages you to unravel the effects of past traumas, untangle the knots of dysfunctional relationships, and find balance in a world that often expects more than it gives. She states, “I'm here to support you every step of the way. I help my clients heal from the hurt left behind from a lifetime of demands from others so that they are no longer defined by them.”
